Mumba Chakulya
Mumba Chakulya is a UK Qualified Lawyer (Solicitor) who heads the litigation department of a regional firm in Essex. She specializes in the areas of company commercial and civil litigation matters. Mumba earned her Bachelors in law from Northumbria University in Newcastle. She also holds a Masters in Law from the University of Law in London.
Beyond her professional contributions in the legal space, Mumba has proven herself as a true grassroots humanitarian and advocate for all things at the intersection of health, education and poverty alleviation. Especially where women and children are concerned. Mumba has won numerous awards for her work with World Vision International, she is the founder of the university-based group – World Vision Society, and she has pioneered various HIV/AIDS campaigns aimed at mandating pharmaceutical companies to coordinate efforts to make antivirals more readily available to communities in need.
Mumba is also the founder and host of the online radio show“Perspectives with Mumba.” Through this platform, Mumba works to shift and change cultural narratives about global health, economic empowerment and systemic injustices.
