MWELWA YANDE BANDE

Mwelwa Yande Banda is a medical student pursuing her Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery at Cavendish University. Mwelwa is dependable, self-motivated and has a strong work ethic.  As a team-oriented citizen, Ms. Banda served as a Red Cross volunteer for two years where she contributed to health initiatives and campaigns.  Mwelwa has also been an active member of the Catholic Church for over 10 years.

At Mpunde Girls Secondary School, Mwelwa served as a religious prefect.  In 2018, she was elected to serve as secretary of the youth movement of St. Veronica Parish. Through these and numerous other experiences, Ms. Banda has consistently developed and demonstrated her ability to lead and interact with diverse audiences including Mother Theresa Missionaries of Charity orphanage.

Ms. Mwelwa Banda is passionate about the wellness and well-being of children and intends to effectively develop programs that will foster a healthier environment for them.
